Lead The Board (Open) is designed for those people who would like to contribute to the governance and leadership of an organisation by becoming a board member or by making the transition from board member to non-executive director.
This director development programme is aimed at senior executives who would like to gain non-executive experience and those who may already be board members but who do not have any formal training or governance related qualifications.
Lead The Board (Open) will ensure you develop the skills to become a non-executive director who adds value to any board. Accredited by The Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners (ACGP), Open College Network West Midlands (OCN) and Edinburgh Napier University, the programme combines academic and vocational elements to ensure learning is consolidated.
Over the duration that the programme is delivered, it provides practical advice on preparing for board meetings, the codes and standards which govern the business of a board, board behavior, the roles and duties of non-executive directors and introduces the governance forum’s Governance Framework model.
Completing this programme will ensure you gain an exceptional level of knowledge that will assure your position as a stand out candidate when applying for your next non-executive role!
