Stage One – Application

Please register your interest in order to receive a programme application form. Applications must be completed in full and returned via email to admin@effectiveboardmember.co.uk. If you have any issues downloading the application form please do let us know.

Stage Two – Orientation

Following the closing of the deadline date all applications will be considered and successful applicants will be invited to the orientation evening for shortlisting on Wednesday 20th September 2017. You must attend this orientation if you wish to be considered for this programme. At the orientation evening applicants will have the opportunity to learn more about the programme, what will be expected from students and what you can expect from the course. You will also have the opportunity to meet other students from past and present cohorts and some of our sponsors and mentors. Further information will be provided on invitation.

Stage Three – Course Sessions and Other Important Dates

Compulsory Sessions, being held have been scheduled for the following dates but may be subject to change:

Orientation Event

20th September 2017 | 6pm to 9pm

Session One

14th October 2017 | 9am to 1.00pm

Session Two

11th November 2017 | 9am to 1.00pm

Session Three

9th December 2017 | 9am to 1.00pm

Session Four

13th January 2018 | 9am to 1.00pm

 

These sessions cover • The history and theory of corporate governance • Governance code principles • Effective boards and committee’s • Finance • The practical applications of corporate governance Please note there will be up to 3 optional sessions including neuro linguistic programming, understanding the voluntary sectors and various high profile events offered to students throughout the duration of the programme.

Stage Four – Examination

The exam date has been scheduled for Saturday 10th February 2018 from 9am to 11.30pm. The examination is a closed booked examination for a duration of two hours and will consist of a multiple choice exam paper and case study style essay questions.
